Patter's word for this challenge is TRUTH. You can read her post and see her beautiful artwork HERE .
There are so many wonderful bible verses about truth but I finally decided to use Psalm 25:5.
This is the verse Patter suggested we could use daily as a prayer .
For my 6 x 6 page I used a lovely patterned paper from Our Daily Bread Designs and Spellbinders decorative oval dies. The flower is a mixture of Sizzix ,Spellbinders foliage and a Stampin Up punch.
Here is a wonderful song by Casting Crowns , I couldn't stop singing this as I was preparing my post !
For this scripture challenge Patter [ www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com ] has given us the word representative. You can read her post HERE .
She told us about her daughter's experience one day, when she was wearing her army reserve officer's uniform. This reminded me of my High School days , when we were told how proud we should be to wear the school uniform. Then came a list of things we were not supposed to do while in uniform as we represented the school ! This included such things as not eating in the street , not shouting ,always wearing our school hats [ which we didn't like at all ! ] etc. etc...
When we follow Jesus , our actions are not motivated by a list of rules but by love !
For my 6 x 6 page, I chose John 13:35 ,
Our Daily Bread Designs paper
Memory Box heart die
Papermania alphabet stamps
Versamark red ink
Here is a lovely song by Chris Sligh , I particularly like the words "I want to love because you loved" .
There are so many beautiful entries for the challenges this year, both on Patter's blog and her Glory Art Facebook page. It's well worth a visit to both!
