Still catching up with my pages for Patter's challenge at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com . You can read the history of the hymn and Patter's post HERE . I have been blessed by the words of this hymn and have listened to it many times over the last few months. I really like the version by Hillsong , which I will link below, although it does have a different refrain to the one on the hymn sheet.

A lovely hymn to end the year of challenges , I had been listening to a teaching on "Wonderful Counsellor" just before I began my page so I had to include the beautiful verse from Isaiah !
Hopefully I will have a couple more pages to post tomorrow , then I will nearly be caught up before the new challenge begins in the New Year !
I LOVE TO TELL THE STORY
My 6 x 6 page for the challenge at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com, you can read Patter's post on this hymn here . I'm still behind with the hymns but hopefully I will catch up before the end of the month.
This is another hymn I was not familiar with , but I really enjoy learning new [to me ] hymns and the background to them

TELL ME THE STORIES OF JESUS
I enjoyed creating this page , it took me back to happy times helping out in children's Sunday School . I have always loved the verse John 21:25 , we never tire of the stories of Jesus and we know only a fraction of what He did:
And there are also many other things that Jesus
did , which if they were written one by one ,I
suppose that even the world itself could not
contain the books that would be written .

I'm behind with my pages for the Hymn and Scripture challenge hosted by Patter at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com. Patter's post for this hymn was in July [ you can read it here ] so I'm really behind ! She chose another lovely hymn ,one which I have sung many times.
The stamp is from a scripture set by Our Daily Bread Designs, it has been a well used set !

What a wonderful title for a hymn! Patter has written a great post about it on her blog here .
How wonderful to be able to lean on the arms of our Lord any time we want ! His arms are always ready to hold us !

It was difficult to stick the Memory box die down, but I have since found a spray glue which will hopefully do the trick next time ! The die is so pretty and the card is easy to remove from it too.
I stencilled the spellbinders flower die with a white gel pen.
I haven't had much time on the computer recently as it is the school holidays and just managing to post this as my son is at a friends !
I haven't heard either of these hymns before but again the words are really beautiful.
Apart from creating the pages , I really love choosing my scripture , the hymns have such beautiful words it's difficult to choose only one !

I love this verse from Exodus ! I asked someone to pray with me recently about a difficult situation. She told me to remember that the solution is always Jesus ! Then Patter posted this hymn for our challenge! It's wonderful to know that The Lord is fighting for us and JESUS NEVER FAILS !
Here are the words to this beautiful hymn :
Earthly friends may prove untrue, Doubts and fears assail; One still loves and cares for you; One who will not fail. Tho' the sky be dark and drear, Fierce and strong the gale, Just remember He is near, And He will not fail. In life's dark and bitter hour, Love will still prevail; Trust His everlasting power, Jesus will not fail. Chorus
Jesus never fails, Jesus never fails, Heav'n and earth may pass away, But Jesus never fails.

Thanks for visiting today , hope to be back soon !
Just a quick post to share two cards made for a friends twin daughters. I usually keep them similar but try to make each one a little bit different. Here I have used papers from my new Doodlebug pad, just changed the colour scheme. They do seem a little bright for our gloomy UK weather but they will be going to warmer climes so won't be out of place ! I used a new [to me] stamp from Our Daily Bread Designs, which I am sure will get a lot of use. I have another set ,so hope to post some more cards soon. I was surprised to have to pay an extra £12 when they arrived, £4 VAT and £8 handling charge to the Post Office. I never had to pay anything when I had them shipped to Cyprus! Fortunately one of the sets was being discontinued and was reduced in price.

I couldn't get good photos ,fortunately my son has just begun GCSE Photography so I may be able to pick up a few tips soon! I have a feeling a new camera may be one of his suggestions!
It's wonderful at this time of the year to go out into the garden or visit parks and countryside alive with all types of flowers and vegetation. There is also wonder to be found in the assortment of bugs and little creatures which accompany them ! Although I am not particularly fond of insects I can still marvel at the intricate wings on butterflies and moths and little spider legs scuttling along the paths. Only our Heavenly Father could have created them.
I wanted to use some bright colours on my page so some new paper was in order. I don't think they come much brighter than Doodlebug Designs , I think I will enjoy using them during the summer months.
For my scripture I have used Nehemiah 9:6 , sorry about the poor photo but if you click on the picture you should be able to read it a little clearer.

Thanks for visiting today ! Patter has just posted the latest hymn so hopefully I will be back soon .
For Patter's post on this beautiful hymn please visit her lovely blog at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com . This is another hymn which I haven't heard before. The words are so wonderful though , it is a really encouraging hymn! There doesn't appear to be a video of anyone singing this hymn, so I visited the link in Patter's post and sang along to the piano accompaniment ! {Not ready to post a video on You tube just yet ! }
I had phoned a friend for a chat one day and she shared a scripture with me . I knew straight away I wanted to use it for my page . Thank you June !

Another lovely hymn again , chosen by Patter. Her post on this hymn and her beautiful page are at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com .
I love the way The Lord directs me when I am choosing the scriptures for my pages. This time , I opened an old address book and found a card which a friend had given me a few years ago. She had written it out from a bible study, I think it may have been a Beth Moore study. There was my scripture - Ephesians 1:7.
This scripture reminded me of the first verse of the hymn :
Come, Thou Fount of every blessing,
Tune my heart to sing Thy grace;
Streams of mercy, never ceasing,
Call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
Sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount! I’m fixed upon it,
Mount of Thy redeeming love.
I chose the paper for my page as I had remembered a book by Francine Rivers - The Scarlet Thread .
It is a story of two women in different periods linked together by a quilt with a scarlet thread running through it.The thread represents the blood of Jesus and its redemptive power - the scarlet thread that runs throughout the bible. The paper is from a Christmas set but I thought it would work well with the theme of my page as it is full of scarlet threads!

I also have the hymn on a cd given to me by another friend ,this version [slightly different] is by Gateway Worship , link below to listen.
So , apart from studying this beautiful hymn , I have had some lovely memories of two dear friends who I miss very much since I moved to the UK. Thank you June and Suzie!
Thanks for visiting today and I hope you are as blessed by this hymn as I have been this week!
Another wonderful post from Patter regarding this hymn over at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com.
I found it difficult to choose my scripture for my page, but when I read Patter's post again the verse John 8:36 really stood out for me. I wanted the verse to stand out on my page too so I was pleased to use the beautiful frame from a Sizzix die. I didn't place it very straight I'm afraid ,but as I used Glossy Accents to glue it in place it is well and truly stuck!
I'm not sure what I'm doing here ! I have not been updated on the blogs I follow when I sign in to Blogger.
I have been advised to use Bloglovin and so am following their instructions to copy and paste the above to a blog post.
Their reader seems to be better than the other one but as with all things computer related it will take me some time to understand it all !
Glad to have a list back though of updates on my favourite blogs !
Another beautiful hymn ! When I chose to make a bouquet of tulips for my page I thought Spring was in the air. Today we woke up to snow again ! Looks like it will be around for a few days so I'm glad I have my page to remind me Spring can't be that far away? No matter what weather we have God is always worthy of our worship and what a difference it makes to us.
Having sung hymns since early schooldays ,when we had a hymn and prayer every morning before classes began ,I am surprised at the number of hymns I haven't heard before. Patters challenge over at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com is introducing me to many beautiful hymns which are new to me.
One of the things I like best about the challenges is studying for the scripture which I want to use on my page.My scripture this time is from another favourite psalm , Psalm 121:1-2.

The first hymn in Patter's 2013 challenge over at www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com. Patter has written a lovely post about this hymn , the background to it and some wonderful thoughts about the words.
I included a small cross at the top of my page which I tried to make to look like the palm crosses we used to hold high on Palm Sunday at my previous church. Another hymn that I wasn't familiar with but such beautiful words.
I thought I would share a worship song {today's hymns !} by Robin Mark -The Wonder of The Cross
How can we ever thank Jesus enough for what He accomplished for us on the cross!!
Just a note - I've had problems uploading photos using Internet Explorer and was told to try using a different browser. This worked but even though everything is neatly typed on my post, when it is published , headings, footnotes etc do not appear in the correct places!
It's been quite a few years since I've had to deal with cold snowy weather! I think this must have influenced my colour choice for this page! Patter chose this lovely hymn for one of last years challenges, but it's a wonderful reminder to me at the beginning of a new year to put my trust in the Lord at all times.
I was pleased to be able to use one of my Our Daily Bread Designs stamps ,from one of the Scripture series.
The verse is Isaiah !2.2
The flower is the Sizzix Daisy no2 die again, I really like playing with this die!
The paper is : Bazill cardstock

Oh For a Thousand Tongues to sing
Another stamp set from Our Daily Bread Designs, I think its called You shall find Refuge.
The bird image looks lovely coloured in but also looks great uncoloured, which is a great thing for someone like me who needs a lot of colouring practice!
The words to this hymn are really beautiful and Patter's post on this hymn at
www.triplethescraps.blogspot.com is well worth a read.
Patter has just begun her Challenge posts for 2013 so it's a great time to join in, the posts are always a blessing.
I was pleased to be able to use one of Our Daily Bread Designs stamps on my page , a wonderful scripture and the fonts they use for the stamps are always so good.
As I need to catch up with my pages ,I used a piece of lovely patterned paper[Papermania] which needs little embellishment. The alphabet tiles are from the same paper pad,so my page came together quickly, just a little Stickles glitter around the rose and Kaiserkraft flowers.
As my pages are 6x6 I have decided to sometimes put the hymn on the back of the page.
Praise to The Lord The Almighty
I was so pleased when Patter chose this hymn as it was my High School hymn. I sang this so many times during my 7 years at high school ! It always brings back memories .
I was grateful to Karen at www.papercraftmemories.com for providing the beautiful scripture wordart. It was perfect for my page .Karen has some beautiful scriptures for us to use on her lovely blog.
I made the flower a long time ago so another quick page.I just changed the centre of the flower,it's a Sizzix Bigz Daisy no2 die.
I am pleased that Patter is still continuing with the challenge this year. The first one will be 13th January ,so I've got a bit of time to catch up and post some more pages before then. Please have a look at Patter's blog and join in if you can.
I was listening to a Christian radio station this morning and the presenter was reading the words to some of the old hymns and saying that there are sermons in nearly every verse. It's true how much more we can gain from studying the words with accompanying scriptures.
United christian Broadcasters is a fantastic radio and tv station, you need a DAB radio in UK but anyone can listen online at www.ucb.co.uk
It's also a lot of fun joining in the challenges and seeing what the other participants have made, there are always some beautiful projects.
